Let’s cook and play together! Your home base will be the luxurious villa from the movie Under The Tuscan Sun. Magical location within walking distance to Cortona, two fabulous kitchens, outdoor wood burning pizza oven, pool room, luxurious bedrooms with gorgeous marble bathrooms, jacuzzi & swimming pool, indoor and outdoor area to relax. We’re looking forward to a LOT of fun!
Our Villa and your home for the week has a fabulous kitchen and is located at the base of the Pyrenees mountains. Our daily tours travel between the neighboring valleys to taste a variety of Local Beers, Wines, Cheeses, Cava, Yoghurt, and the famous sausages from the area. We also go into Barcelona to enjoy several of the Gaudi Architectural masterpieces.
Our home for the week is a 17th century Chateau, nestled in a 184 acre estate in the heart of the Dordogne Region / SW France (nestled between the Loire Valley and Pyreneese mountains). We will meet in Bordeaux / BOD Airport.
After twelve years of Foodie Adventures we love the excitement of discovering a beautiful new property to use as our home base. September, 2023 we have scheduled our first trips to this lovely property on the river in the Loire. We are still making adjustments… I’m finalizing plans for new stops on the itinerary and Michael is imagining new dishes the travelers will be creating in the kitchen. Those updates will be ready in a few weeks.
Travel with me to some of the world’s greatest “foodie” destinations. Mary Jo and I introduced our Foodie Adventures in 2010 with our first trips to Tuscany, those trips were so much fun the couples who attended encouraged us to expand to another location. In 2011, we added the Loire Valley, France to our calendar and with additional encouragement we are now offering fun filled itineraries in the Catalonia region of Spain, Provence, Sicily and the Dordogne region of France.
While creating our itineraries we have tried to make every detail as easy as possible for you. We meet at the airports (FCO, CDG, BOD & BCN) and return you to the airport at the end of the week. Once you are in the country there’s no need to worry about confirmations, parking, tickets, reservations – we will take care of it all! The itineraries marry our love of terrific food, culinary adventure and great company. If you have the desire to learn something new, would like to explore beautiful villages, meet local producers and like to cook (or just eat), then our trips may be the perfect fit for you!
The lodging is amazing, the markets are incredible, the scenery breathtaking and the cooking classes are a whole lot of fun! You’ll make memories that will last a lifetime!
