Catalonia - Spain Tour
We are excited about the variety of experiences we are offering in Catalonia / Barcelona! Our Villa and your home for the week has a fabulous kitchen and is located at the base of the Pyrenees mountains. Our daily tours travel between the neighboring valleys to taste a variety of Local Beers, Wines, Cheeses, Cava, Yoghurt, and the famous sausages from the area. We also go into Barcelona to enjoy several of the Gaudi Architectural masterpieces. Below you will find the full itinerary of the Spanish Catalonia tour and the daily four-course menus. DAY 1
- Meet at Plaza Universitat in Barcelona (Starbucks) at 10:00 am
- Guided Tour Boqueria Market and Old Town Gothic Quarter Barcelona

- Arrive mid-afternoon at Villa
- Welcome Cocktail and Villa Tour
- Settle In

DAY 2
- Breakfast at the Villa
- Visit historic town of Vic on “Market Day”
- Self Guided City Tour: Highlights Vic Cathedral with Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassic styles.
- Lunch own in Vic
- Afternoon tour / tasting Moli de la Lavinia . It’s family tradition… The farmhouse / mill / cheese production property dates from 1497 and has been under the currently family ownership for 1000 years. Enjoy a tour of the historic farm, working hydraulic flour mill, learn about their cheese production and enjoy a taste their products.
- Cooking Class at the Villa with chef Michael. Assist Michael in preparing the four-course dinner menu of the evening.

DAY 3
- Breakfast at the Villa
- Free Day to relax. Enjoy the national park (miles of hiking trails), walking visiting to 10th century Església de Sant Julià d’Úixols Romanesque church, swim in the indoor or outdoor pool, read a book…

DAY 4
- Breakfast at the Villa.
- Visit and Tasting at Caves Codorniu – With more than 450 years of history (founded in 1551), this is the oldest wine and cava (sparkling wine) producer in Spain. Codorniu is Spain’s oldest family run business. The beautiful winery building includes a museum of wine making equipment.
- Lunch on your own.
- Visit Master Chocolatier Simon Coll Chocolate demonstration & tasting.

DAY 5
- Breakfast at the Villa
- Excursion to Barcelona – guided visit to the trendy, yet off the beaten path El Born quarter / Barcelona. Narrow medieval streets, Santa Maria Del Mar church, El Mercat del Born, Picasso Museum and dozens of unique boutiques.
- Lunch on your own.
- Afternoon guided tour Park Guell; walk the paths, enjoy the view and the fascinating Gaudi architecture

DAY 6
- Breakfast at the Villa
- Funicular ride over the river and up the mountain to Montserrat. Enjoy the performance of the renown boys choir, tour the Monastery and Museum or spend some time hiking the scenic trails.
- Lunch on your own.
- Visit Oller del Mas – a small production organic winery with more than a thousand years of history. The castle has been the families home for 36 generations. In the last decade, the vineyards have been rebuilt with an ambition to produce the best wines in Catalonia, wines that can easily compete with the better Bordeaux and Burgundy wines of France.
